Here is a video of the jig construction please take a look at it if you like. This jig is great for a large percentage of cup hinge intallations but misses the mark for many installations. But in a classroom situation a little bit of set up pays big dividends. The concealed hinge jig takes the guesswork out of installing cabinet doors using concealed hinges.

Use a pencil to mark the jig along the door s ends. This economical easy to use jig ensures accurate hinge alignment so you can install doors that fit great and work well. A lot of hinges need only a 7 16 hole. This jig will drill a hole 1 2 in depth and no less.

Cutting out rectangles on doors to make them the size of your door hinges does not have to be as tedious as it sounds. If you have to create door hinges of the same size or different sizes you can make use of door hinge jigs to make your job easier. Mark the placement of all hinges making sure to factor in the 1 8 gap that will be between the door and top of the door frame. Jigs are tools that can assist you in cutting.

Make cabinet door installation easy. In my own work i m typically faced with hanging a single door two at the most in a given project. Then cut a piece of plywood to 4 1 2 wide and the exact length of the jig face to make the support arm. While a 1 2 hole will accommodate those hinges a cabinet door with a radiused edge will be ruined if you drill 1 2.

So this jig is consisted by two parts. A hinge jig can be extremely valuable especially to people that are working with doors and cabinets on a daily basis. Using a jig by doug stowe as inspiration i built a few of my own. Then cut along those lines to bring the jig to final length.

The wooden part that is attached on the cabinet door with a clamp and acts as a guide for bit and the hinge boring bit that has to be modified so it can have a depth stop. So i ve never gotten around to making a door hinge jig to simplify the process.
