On my copy all four sides suffer from the same problem the first half of a side will sound fine but once you pass that halfway mark the vocals sound extremely scratchy.
It s irritating and off putting especially considering doom s vocals are much of this album s appeal and great songs like raid curls money folder all caps more are.
The two met in 2002 and soon began working on madvillainy which would be finished over the next year and released in march 2004.

The album went against the grain of all popular conventions in contemporary hip hop.
Short songs dirty sound no choruses and with lyrical themes which were not always clear to everyone on first listen.
